An energy failure on Thursday morning struck Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT3), which led to the evacuation of some travelers.

In a notice, the MRT3 recorded an issue in the Ayala Station to Taft Avenue Station electricity supply of the rail system at 10:17 a.m.

The issue was coordinated instantly with our energetic staff.

Passengers were evacuated at 10:34 a.m. at the north boundary of the Magallanes and Ayala stations due to the energy supply failure. The event impacted a minimum of 508 passengers.

The MRT3 explained that while the power supply is being restored it is not dangerous that travelers can walk on tracks, as electricity is not on the tracks on the top wires. “Power has been restored at 10:35 AM.
