Park leads by 4; Saso keeps chase

Park Sung-hyun the South Korean’s World No. 1 golfer is made to impress, and impressed as well by Filipino amateur Yuka Saso after another round match play together in the $100,000 TCC Ladies in Laguna held recently.

Park was bogey-less firing a six-under-par 66 and widened her lead to four in a 36-hole 135 cumulative before praises rain in yet again on the reigning Asian Games gold medalist, who imprinted out a 68 to stay in second place.

“Putting was the key [today]; I stroked them better compared to the first round,” the 25-year-old Park, seeing action in her first tournament since vaulting to No. 1 last Monday.

Then she added of Saso: “She hit some great shots today. She’s really good.”

Princess Superal took 10 shots clear after matching par with Dottie Ardina struggling another two strokes behind subsequenting a 74.

“I had to keep up with her, otherwise, she would have pulled away,” remarked Saso.
