Dela Rosa said on Wednesday that the US Embassy had told him that his visa had been cancelled although he could reapply for it.
His visa was to expire in 2022 he said.
Reports stated that the visa for Dela Rosa was cancelled due to his alleged involvement in extrajudicial killings in connection with the government’s drug war.
Dela Rosa was the first Chief of the Philippine National Police to be appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte.
