Netflix announced on Tuesday, November 12, that You, a series that follows the charming but (literally) murderous Joe, is coming back on December 26 for his second season.
The announcement was made by Netflix to the press and by Instagram DMs.
In You, the psychotic and violent Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley), a director of the New York bookstore, meets and falls in love with Guinevere Beck, an author, and bookstore customer. Season 1 does not end so well–at least for other characters.
Season 2, we see Joe’s history catching up with him in the form of long-lost ex-girlfriend Candace (Ambyr Childers) who is a woman now hell-bent on teaching him a lesson, according to Netflix.
Season two has him on the run from Candace, heading for his own personal hell in New York City: Los Angeles. He’s fresh from an intense friendship that ended in assassination. The last thing he wants is to meet an amazing new girl, but he’s falling back in love with a woman called Love (Victoria Pedretti).
Should history repeat itself? What is the real thing this time? Joe’s only insane enough to risk finding out reads the season’s description.
You are based on Caroline Kepnes ‘ novel.
On December 26, all 10 episodes of Season 2 fall.
