The Legazpi Airport was destroyed by strong winds and heavy rains during the typhoon Tisoy attack, Albay Gov. Al Francis Bichara said early Tuesday.
Parts of the walls of the airport were ripped apart and shattered glasses, pictures, and videos captured by ABS-CBN News were shown.
The province has been affected by the eyewall of Tisoy, which is considered the most damaging part of the typhoon by weather specialists.
