The Los Angeles Lakers has agreed to a one-year deal with free-agent center DeMarcus Cousins and they are also bringing back point guard Rajon Rondo for the next season.
The Cousins’ deal was said to be for $2.3 million, as per Cousins’ agent, Jeff Schwartz.
Former teammate Anthony Davis and several other Lakers were reported to convinced him to join them in Los Angeles than Miami Heat.
The Lakers had hoped that their Big-3 slot would be filled by Kawhi Leonard, however he opted for Los Angeles Clippers instead.
Rondo on the other hand is returning to the Lakers on a two-year deal as reported. The 33-year-old, who is entering his 14th NBA season, provided great leadership on the floor, and his stats averaged 9.2 points, 8.0 assists and 5.3 rebounds as of last season.
