'It would be an insult to his person': Duterte assures of Misuari's return to PH

Duterte has guaranteed the police and the military that Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) founding chairman Nur Misuari will return to the Philippines.

Duterte had revealed that he intervened to let Misuari fly abroad, despite the latter facing several charges in a speech at the PDP-Laban campaign rally in Bangued, Abra.

He described Misuari as a revolutionary and that he will surely comeback. Further added that it would a great disservice and an insult to himself if were to be buried elsewhere other than his homeland.

The President assured voters in Abra that his government was able to iron out the differences with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).

Murad Ebrahim, chairman of the MILF, was proclaimed interim chief minister of the 3-year transition government of the new Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
