Beginning March 20, motorists traversing the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) will soon pay higher toll fees the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) said in a statement Wednesday.
The open system for toll fees – where a flat rate is charged per access, includes Balintawak, Mindanao Avenue, Karuhatan, Valenzuela, Caloocan, Meycauayan, and Marilao interchanges and toll areas.
Class 1 vehicles which are ordinary passenger cars will now have to pay ₱55 an increase of P10 and ₱258 added up a ₱22 in end-to-end, as told to the new toll fee matrix.
Class 2 vehicles which are buses and smaller trucks will have to shell out ₱137 adds ₱23 and ₱646 an additional ₱56 for open and end-to-end, respectively.
Lastly, Class 3 vehicles comprised of large trucks and trailers, motorists will have to pay ₱165 – an additional ₱29 for the open, and ₱775 that’s been increased with ₱67 for end-to-end.
The rate adjustments was foreseen subsequently with the opening of the NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 as well as a “comprehensive review” of requests to raise toll fees.
