Airport fire safety department reported a grass fire broke out at an isolated area inside the perimeter of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) Terminal 3 on Thursday morning.
Rannie Raval of the Naia Terminal 3 Fire Safety Department said the fire started after a grass cutter exploded around 8:55 a.m. The fire sparked at a grassy vacant area at the north side of the terminal and was outside the premises of the airport.
Airport firemen hurried to the scene extinguishing the flames at 10:23 a.m.
There were no informed injuries and flights were not affected by the fire.
