MRT3‘s operational director, Michael Capati, aims to double its passenger capacity in less than two years through the renovation of its stations, the improvement of its signaling system and increasing the number of operating trains.
He said that MRT3 plans to increase the current 15 trains to over 20.
The travel time of the passengers is also reduced as the rail system plans to increase train speed from 30 km / h to 60 km / h.
The system should shorten the time of change and waiting from 7.5 minutes to 3.5 minutes as the modifications take place.
He clarified that while the activation and validation tests have been done in three sets of Dalian trains, the deployment will begin slowly.
The Dalian train will run on average from 8:30 p.m. in the evening, which can transport 1050 passengers per flight. At 22:30 p.m.
