DFA urges Hong Kong’s Pinoys to avoid areas of protest following clashes

In view of latest localized confrontations, the Department of Foreign Affairs highly recommends Filipinos in Hong Kong or those who travel to the land to prevent regions where mass demonstrations and actions are taking place.

Filipinos were also recommended to put their safety first and take all needed precautions.

DFA’s advisory came out on Tuesday after renewed conflicts broke out previously this week between pro-democracy demonstrators and police in Hong Kong.

It observed that the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong mains open communication lines concerning the scenario with the HK government  and will provide the respective notice to the public as needed.
