After putting on a superb performance last month against the former unbeaten Keith Thurman, a rejuvenated Manny Pacquiao takes it “one battle at a moment.”
This, according to MP Promotions chief Sean Gibbons who was the guest on Tuesday at the Amelie Hotel in Manila at the PSA Forum.
Pacquiao is coming off an impressive outing against Thurman last July 20 in Las Vegas, which saw the younger fighter’s “Pacman” floor in the first round en route to a split decision victory.
That gave the WBA welterweight belt to Pacquiao as Thurman experienced the first loss of his career. But Pacquiao also took a lot of blows from Thurman, who landed 192 energy punches on the Filipino star.
This has resulted some to express concern for Pacquiao – including his biggest competitor, Juan Manuel Marquez, who said the “Pacman” should consider retirement. However, Gibbons made the proposal clear.
