As the transport sector expects a 10% increase in traffic volume on All Saints and All Souls Day holidays, the Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) has provided its customers with better services for their convenience.
Closer traffic control will be carried out in the NLEX, SCTEX and Cavitex toll plazas where the influx of motorists is expected.
MPTC also vowed to shorten the waiting time of drivers and stop the build-up of traffic by opening up a total of 24 collection points at Balintawak Toll Plaza from 26 October to 2 November 2019.
Toll plazas in Mindanao Road, Tarlac and Tipo can run at a total of 10, 15 and 6 points of collection, respectively.
Meanwhile, from 1 to 4 November, Manila-bound drivers will be provided with 55 collection points at the Bocaue Toll Barrier.
Pre-encoded transit tickets will also be issued for quicker purchases at Tarlac Toll Plaza.
MPTC said that all work on the mainline roads of NLEX, SCTEX, and Cavitex would be suspended from October 24 to November 4.
Free calls, Wi-Fi, drinking water, basic mechanics and first aid services will also be offered by MPTC to motorists in designated locations along the expressways through its “Safe Trip Mo Sagot Ko” initiative in collaboration with the private and media sectors.
The public may also track the real-time traffic situation from October onwards.
