MANILA – Actress Bea Alonzo announced on Wed. May 27 that I Am Hope has raised over P9 million to help frontliners amid COVID-19 pandemic.
I Am Hope, the organization which she co-founded two months ago, aims to respond in the face of crisis not only during this pandemic, but also to provide support and assistance to the communities focusing on poverty alleviation through education & feeding.
In her Instagram post, Bea announced the good news and also welcomed new members of the organization including Rina Navarro and actor Vhong Navarro.
The actress also reported that the organization through donations were able to help atleast 44 hospitals and 36 communities in the country.
“@iamhope_org reached a new milestone in our donations today, day 70. We have raised a total of P9,000,000 in cash and in kind. We are GRATEFUL for the generosity of our donors.” said in the Instagram post.According to Bea, the next wave of donations will not be limited to the frontliners but also for the poor communities greatly affected by the crisis.
