20 Naia flights delayed due to Red lightning alert


A total of 20 combined international and domestic flights were delayed yesterday afternoon due to a red lightning alert that was issued by the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia).

The weather bureau had issued the red lightning alert at 4:49 p.m, said The Manila International Airport Authority (Miaa).

It was then downgraded to yellow alert at 5:29 p.m. and was lifted completely at 5:37 p.m.

Miaa would like to reitirate to all passengers that flights delays are to be expected when there is a red lightning alert.
